Inside the greenhub Pitch Roast

On June 25th, a small group of greenhub startups sat down for something a bit different from a regular pitch session. No audience of strangers, no prizes, no ranking. Just a handful of founders, two experienced investors, and a straightforward question: what is not working in your pitch?

That is the idea behind the Pitch Roast. Each founder gets a short window to present, and then hears, directly and without much cushioning, what needs to change.

How it works

The format is simple and kept intentionally tight, each startup has 3 minutes to pitch, followed by 5 minutes of feedback from the roasters, and then 2 questions or remarks from the audience.

There is not much time to dress things up, which is kind of the point. It pushes founders to say what they actually mean, and gives the panel enough space to respond honestly.

A benefit of being part of greenhub

It is easy to get polite feedback. It is much harder to get someone to tell you, in the room, why your business model does not quite add up yet. That is what makes this format useful, and it is one of the reasons sessions like this are not open to everyone. They are part of what greenhub members get access to: closed-door formats, direct time with investors, and a community of people working on similar problems.

If you are building something in this space and want a seat at the next one, becoming a greenhub member is how you get in.
